ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.
When the animals take over the farm, they think it is the start of a better life. Their dreams is of a world where all animals are equal and all property is shared. But soon the pigs take control and one of them, Napoleon, becomes the leader of all the animals. One by one the principles of the revolution are abandoned, until the animals have even less freedom than before.

Animal Farm is a classic work by George Orwell and a noted piece of literature, which, of course, may help the reader to catapult the imagination beyond the horizons of dogmatic adherence to idealistic or Utopian thoughts. It however, represents human characteristics in an analogy of animal instincts, but it really gives insight into the Russian Revolution of 1917. It also mimics the doomsday of a precipitated change, brought by a modicum of bureaucratic class called as Bolsheviks.

Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin
What do you think about Lenin and his intentions? From what I've read by psychoanalysts such as Slavoj Zizek or other copies of his translated writings I see nothing as corrupt as Stalin. Is this the truth or is it masked? Do you think that if Lenin had not died quite so early things would have turned out differently? Or, what if Stalin had been outsmarted by Trotsky and HE had been the one banished and then assassinated? Do you think that the Soviet Russia we think of was due to Stalin, or was it inevitable regardless of which cunning wolf had manipulated his way to the top? I am especially looking forward to The Atheist's and Barazov's responses to this.

Animal Farm
Hi there, My name is Eduard and I am from Germany. In about a week I have to give a presentation about "Animal Farm". I thought it would be nice to discuss maybe the important part of the fable if you like. I am not sure how the structure my presentation but of course I will start with Old Majors speech. This speech should give them a reality check. He tries to persuade them to start a rebellion. You can see that Old Major represents the communism because he calls them as "Comrades". He points all the negative aspects out like Man is the only creature who does not produce something he only consumes. Some day later he dies. Snowball, Napoleon and Squealer are now pushing the movement on. By and by Napoleon gets rid of Snowball and becomes the Leader of Animal Farm. A general question. It is said that Animal Farm is a comparison between different systems. The first system was a dictatorship because Jones was the only one who gave orders. The second one is a democracy. All animal are equal, at least for a short period. The third is a republic. The power was transfered to the representatives of the farm, the pigs. An the last one is again a dictatorship through the pigs. Is this right?

Help finding sources
Hey everyone, I have a research paper coming up and I decided to make my topic the symbolism in Animal Farm (how Napolean is Stalin etc.) and my teacher requires we have six sources. I have two reference and two online but I'm having a hard time finding two nonrefence sources. Any suggestions as to where I could find any nonreference would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance =]

The Need for Literacy
How does the theme, The Need for Literacy, apply towards Animal Farm? Why do the animals need to be good readers or critical thinkers in order to succeed?
